Detailed Description: Giclee on canvas edition. 33.0 x 43.0 framed.
'Giclée' (pronounced, "zhee-clay"), is a French word meaning "to squirt or spurt." The Giclée printer squirts over 4 million microscopic droplets of ink per second onto canvas. A Giclee print is a superior quality reproduction using archival inks and its intent was to distinguish commercial digital prints from fine art prints. In much the same way that the word serigraph is used to denote a fine art silk screen print, the word giclée is to be used to denote a fine art digital print. |
