Beluga Brothers

In this unique work Robert has taken a moment away from the humpbacks and great blue whales to picture their Northern cousins, the Beluga.  These small whales (three to five meters) are to be found in the arctic and sub-arctic water of the Northern Hemisphere.  Born gray, they mature into the white ice dwellers that we see here.  Robert’s use of light in all his works is remarkable.  In this painting he has changed his palate entirely from the greens and yellows of Hawaii to the crystal cold hues of the land of the midnight sun.

 

With each purchase of a framed print, an unframed print will be shipped free of charge.  The title shipped will be based on inventory and at our discretion.  Each additional framed print purchased will result in an additional free unframed print with a different title.
