If it were necessary to explain to anyone what is meant by “modern marine art”, this painting could serve as a perfect example. Since Robert Lyn Nelson first created the “Two World’s” genre in the late seventies artists everywhere have used elements of his work.  A classic view of Lahaina, this rare triptych has everything a Nelson collector could ask for; breaching humpbacks, colorful coral reefs, and a gorgeous view of Lahaina from out at sea looking toward the West Maui mountains.  If you have ever been there on a day like this, the painting will make you dream of going back.  If you have never been to the Valley Isle, then it will make you want to see for yourself if anywhere can be that truly beautiful.  The answer from those of us who love Maui; “Yes it can.”
