1864 Lahaina Triangle

The peaceful village of Lahaina has had an interesting if not so peaceful history.  Today, Lahaina is a major destination for art collectors all over the world and the only hunting for whales these days is with binoculars from the many whale watching cruises that depart daily.  In this painting, however, Robert has rolled back the years to the days when the tall ships filled the waters off Lahaina like beautiful white clouds in a clear blue sky.
